On the 29th of October 2006 Tim Harris and Chris Wilson completed the Patagonian Mountain Marathon in Argentina. For Tim, this was the first of seven marathons in seven weeks across all seven continents.

In total Tim will be flying approximately 100, 000 miles, the equivalent of four times around the world, spending 150 hours on the plane and running 183 miles. Every week Tim will be flying to a different continent to run an organised competitive marathon. This means that the course will be professionally marked and measured and there will be plenty of people to race against.

According to the Guinness Book of Records the current world record for running a competitive marathon on every continent stands at 95 days. Tim plans to do it in 45 days!

Whilst attempting the record Tim is raising money for the charity WaterAid. The aim is to raise enough money have a significant positive impact on the water supply in Uganda, where water supply coverage is only 56% and life expectancy is at an average of only 47.3 years!
